He sniffed a slower and got his powers on the last episode to be aired. When he sniffed that flower and got strong, there went the show. I loved the show, very different and funny for that time.
Backup will come if needed.....

I've heard the "flowers/cocaine" scene in "The Littlest Tramp" described incorrectly a bajillion times. I have the episode right in front of me at this moment, and here's what happens:
1.) The episode's villain crushes Polly Pineblossom's [the titular "Littlest Tramp"] flower when she tries to sell it to him.
2.) Polly sells Mighty Mouse the stem, which crumbles into dust in his hand, and which he then stuffs in his pocket and pays for.
3.) Later in the episode, he rescues a bunch of ants from some lobsters, and ends up at the ants' lodge meeting. After one of the ants tells that he became a lodge brother because he wanted to help the less fortunate, Mighty Mouse, thinking of Polly Pineblossom, pulls the crushed flower out of his pocket, saying "I know someone else like that," and then snorting up the dust as the scene crossfades into the next. (He does not gain any sudden burst of power; it's just a non-sequitur bit at the end of the scene.)

Mighty is smelling the flower remains because they remind him of Polly; even so, the animation is undoubtedly a cocaine gag. Knowing John Kricfalusi, it couldn't have been anything but intentional. With all the preparation that goes into a show, it couldn't possibly be an accident or a coincidence.

I understand the problem that Rev. Wildmon had with the scene; I find it tasteless myself. Perhaps Wildmon was overreacting a bit, but such a gag isn't necessary in the first place. Either way, the show wasn't cancelled because of it; there were quite a few episodes that came after.

Just wanted to clear up this whole matter.
