Movie not released in 1990...

Imdb lists this movie as being released in 1990. I tried to notify them, but the process is too difficult to understand. Hopefully someone out there sees this and can correct it.

What year was this movie released? I'm thinking 1998.

Question... Do they list the year it was released or the year it was first completed and marketed? I'm only asking cuz there are films on here that have release dates for 2004 and 2005 that haven't come out yet (have been shelved and may come out on DVD)? Or is it just a typo?

This movie came out in 1999, I remember going to see it.
