Can someone tell me if his part in this is very big?

I saw a couple of minutes on television a few weeks ago but was on my way out and didn't get to watch the whole thing.

Also, which character/actor is the one who gets shot while looking out at no man's land?

Tam Williams gets shot looking out at no mans land.
Jams D'Arcy has a resinabley big part he's not a main character but he isnt an extra ever.
