I guess I am the first poster for Spooky House.Does anybody like this movie or is it just me because I just love it.

I'm nearly through it, but this is my second try; I just couldn't take it the first time around. How could two Oscar winners agree to appear in this totally awful film?! It might have been better under different direction, but the director obviously did not think this assignment was worth bothering with, so the actors walk or run screaming through the scenes. The chldren needed to be coached; that's obvious. Someone mentioned The Little Rascals, but the children in the old Our Gang shorts had decent line delivery. Katharine Isabelle tries hard, but it's all very hopeless. I have a low tolerance for tykes, and Max was iritating, not adorable. The rest were dreadful, including the boy who seemed to be channeling Pavel Chekov from "Star Trek".
How much potty humor can one movie have? This one pushed the limits to the breaking point.
Then, there's the music chosen for the soundtrack, which made this film seem hopelessly outdated, as if it should be a product of the Eighties.

Well mynearly seven year old has thoroughly enjoyed it, so with that said. It is a good halloween movie that is clean and fun for the younger set. my daughter is not thrilled with animated stuff, so it becomes a little difficult to find good age appropriate movies.. this is one. The music is o.k. but then i was a teen in the 80's

Bought this movie for my 8 year old but my 3 year loves it more. She will watch it over and over again if we let her. Good clean fun for the entire family. My 8 year old loves Haunted Mansion better.
