There is a confusion with The Little Mermaid by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.
An international incident!

Though the russian Mermaid is very cute, the one and only Mermaid is the Czech!

All versions of the Little Mermaid are sad.
Though...it's soooo beautiful.
To release your love for his better good.
And even sacrifice yourself to save his life.
