A Must-See (depending on perspective)

I found the remarks made by many other users to be rather pedestrian. I am a gay man. I lived in a small town for much of my life. And yet my opinions regarding this movie are not strictly tied to those criteria. I absolutely agree with the reviewer. This film didn't strike me as cliche at all. I found the writing to be poetic & substantive, the acting nuanced & the scenery/southern charm to be almost palpable enough to list in the credits as another cast member. For me, one of the earmarks of a good film is how many times I'm compelled to glance at the time while I watch. I never did.

If you're not uncomfortable with a gay subtext, get/watch this movie.
