What the hell???

Oh all places. I first heard of this film mentioned as one of the great films of the day promoted by IMDB.com. On the first page they usually showcase of film of an excellent caliber. No film I have seen posted up has been crappy. Out of the blue and literally no where there was mention of this. It came in under the radar due to the connection of the director and a musican and sometimes film producer. Patrik being known for introducing a little indie hit called "Hav-Plenty" to Babyface who in turn took it to Miramax. I thank Mr. Patrik for that. Hav Plenty is in my top three of all time. Yet heard he completed his dream to do his own feature called Punks. Three of the stars are huge in alot of films. One was in Hackers and some Stallone crap under ground. One was in several Kevin Smith films including Chasing Amy. The main lead of Marcus, I can think off the top but hell. This is well to do for a great release on DVD. Sounds a bit like Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss or even Broken Hearts Club: a romantic comedy. Yet it look tastefully down. Well executed and just fun to enjoy. Just hope Entertainment Weekly mentions something. They made note about Paris is Burning then it was put on DVD shortly after that. EW can get anything done, there like Oprah when she called up Lays to get a Diet Chip. Hope this makes it one day. Maybe along with a Noah's Arc DVD, they will release this, nothing works better than the threat of an extra 20 dollars of our money.

I saw this movie when it came to Dallas...in 2000...to play at Angelika Film Center.
It was hilarious and I agree, it's a great film.
The actors all did a great job.
All I could think of when I left the movie theater was how I was deffinately gonna buy the DVD when the movie was released on video, but then..bam!..it wasn't.
I say..if they aren't gonna release films to home video...don't put them in the theaters at all!
I do only hope though, someone will wise up, and release this on video.
I too would love to see it again.
