Ireland, not the UK.
With regard to the comments made by one reviewer on IMDB, this film came from Ireland and not from the UK. There is a phenomenal difference for which thousands have died!

I am more upset with Spaceys awful accent and the 'loveable' depiction of a nasty, violent criminal (who was one of those thousands by the way) in this abhorrent movie.
