Hi I missed a lot of the movie but can anyone explain the end shot to me? Why did the camera pan down to the fellow on the tables genitals to help identify him? Thanks

Spacey arranges for his nemesis in the IRA to get shot instead of him. Guy gets his face blown off, Linda Fiorentino and Helen Baxendale are called in to identify the faceless body; seeing the genitalia they instantly recognise it's not him but say that it is so that he can legally be certified as dead and the cops will leave him alone.

I ought perhaps to explain that both Spacey's wife *and* her sister have seen his bits before.

That wasn't even the end shot. You missed a lot of the movie, and the end also apparently. It shows why this is an issue (as the other person commented) like 5 minutes later.
