Listed as not so great but you had to be there in 1986

Robotech did not start the anime craze (at least for me...I started in
1978 which predates it by many years) but Megazone 23 Part 2 was the
first attempt to change the style of animation from the rather stilted
"old style" 70's to the 80's "new wave" with much more fluid animation
and much more realistic characters. What we'd have to do is refer to
the original novel "Omegazone 23" to find out what the changes were but
since I don't read Japanese, I was never able to do this. I still like
the idea that the punks will inherit the Earth. Gives me a good
chuckle....
