Dorky kid movie.

I just wanted to put my two cents in.
My 7 year old daughter watched this movie about 10 times in one week (it would have been more if she had her way).
It somehow appealed to her.
It's a dorky, slapstick, old fogey "comedy" fit for little kids. Don't get your hopes up too high if you are over 10 years old.(Think really bad "Goonies" type movie.)
Also, the "recommendations if you like this movie" are all for horror flicks that have nothing in common with this movie. (I complained, maybe they'll change that) So I'll recommend another movie that seems to be turning her crank lately - "The Last Unicorn". It's a japanimation movie from 1982. Mia Farrow and Alan Arkin voicing. Annoying as hell to me, as was this movie, but she was hypnotized by it.

Wheter a person is old or not, has NOTHING to do with "Heart" (as you are implying "heart" to mean).
I find the persons "message", confusing. It somewhat sounds like she doesnt understand why her child likes movies that are meant to appeal to children. I guess she seems to feel that nobody over the age of 10 will enjoy it. But I guess that may depend on what sort of movies the child was raised on and liked as a child.
There were 4 reviewers who took the time to post reviews and 3 out of 4 had good things to say about it. They found it "appropriate" for kids and they themselves managed to find the movie enjoyable as well.
It does not have a particularly good "score" on IMDB. I think that those who rate these movies are the ones who lack "heart" to understand that there is a place for "FAMILY" films suitable for kids, as well as more adult movies.
It seems heartless to me to condemn a decent movie because of the audience it is meant to entertain.

BTW It seems strange that the lowest ratings come from middle age females.
