Impostor and a person

I watched on Good Morning America when this movie came out and the guy from Good Morning America said," whenever they get somebody new they want to throw him down". So this movie was about someone, who was it about, if it is about someone that is some real wicked *beep* Hollywood did to someone. It never said who it was about, can anyone find any information about this?
