It was ok to me...

Well, it was not a big hit movie, but if you look to some other movies, I think this is to low rated. It would be a 6/10 to me. The beginning was great. A potentially good story. A disaster and the government has to make a decision. After the beginning it was too predictable and a terrible ending.

What scared the hell out of me was how much better the plot was than that of The Day After Tomorrow.

I mean, I've seen one pretty good SciFi original movie (Saint Sinner), and most people would probably disagree with that.

I agree with you that this (although not as scientifically feasible) film was better plotted than that of "Day After Tomorrow." There was a lot of interconnected plot points and character progression that made the story worth it. In fact, it seems as if the more successful of the two films ("Day After Tomorrow") stole a couple of components from this film such as the burning of classical literature to stay alive and the making of perilous journeys across vast wastelands of snow.

But I do have to say that both the beginning and the ending were bad. But compared to other SciFi flicks, it was OK.

I thought this was one of the better Sci Fi channel movies. It skipped a lot of the cliches that usually show up in movies by the channel. [two main characters are/were married or somehow partnered in the past, now they must put their differences aside to save the world.]

I like how even the lead character got hurt and how everything wasn't tied up in a pretty little bow.

Nicely done.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

I thought this was a pretty good movie without to much sugar.

Eva Larue was great in this.

This was one of the worst movies I have ever ever seen. I thought it was like 1/10, if someone forced me to consider a rating.

It wasn't horrific, it's a tv movie so it has some seriously cheesy moments but overall it's worth watching. I thought it was funny when the girlfriend is sad and pessimistic and sulking in the apt - oops, guess my bra is showing for 10 minutes or so. Don't get me wrong, she's an attractive young lady but come on wouldn't you be dressed and ready to move at a moment's notice? Especially after learning that communication is beginning to fail.

They could do Ice II - the rescues continue and have the ex Seal be field recruited into leading a team off the sub and into San Diego to rescue some scientists that are being held ransom by crazed marines who want to abandon their post and sail to Tahiti.

I agree about the ending, They left too much to question without answering a few questions. I believe there is another movie with Dean Cain in it called Post Impact, it's almost like "Ice".
If you ever get a chance, you should watch it.
