What is he dying of?

OK,
I keep missing the same part where they talk about how he's dying. Is it his alcoholism? Because he looks right now like he could be dying of AIDS.
Just curious, would appreciate any help here.

I'm almost positive he's dying of cirrhosis of the liver.
