To all of you fans

I´ve watched a few episodes now, and the series suck. Badly.
I´m sorry, but this series blows big time. I´d be surprise if it would ever get a DVD or any mention in the future.

No dont mate seriously. I love the show, I really do. However After re-watching it again, it was awesome for me, but in the back of my head I felt that it hadnt aged well at all. You have to remember that this came out at the height of the X-files success, if you look, youll see a lot of the same crew helped make both shows. Also, sebesatian spence, the guys who played eddie and Joshua were in episodes of the x-files.

You have to remember where as the X-files was a updated remake of the twighlight zone, with a protagonist (mulder), instead of the narrator leading you into the story - first Wave was a updated twighlight zone with an adventure story tagged to it. That's what the appeal of the show was.

However, if you are watching it now, it probably just looks trashy, because the times have changed.

sci-fantasy shows are now built around the premise of trying to confuse the viewer so much that their heads split and have to continue watching until they figure out "WHAT THE *beep* IS GOING ON???"

First Wave always reminded me of the original "The Invaders" TV show.

Same premise...the main character was chasing aliens and no one but a few along the way would believe him.

The aliens basically died in the same fashion. Disinegrating as they died.

It was a great series. Although I would have liked to seen it go on longer, at least it had a decent final episode that wrapped things up.

About 2/3 of the series was good, the latter episodes were awfully written.

Well, me thinks "sucks" is a bit harsh.

But yea it isn't the greatest show, it has it's cheese moments. But as a far as your simply fun to watch sci fi show goes, I think it's pretty good.
