Okay,so I watched 10 or so episodes of season one. Its basically he goes find some alien experiment,break into a few places. They discover who he is and tries to kill him. He ends the experiment and the aliens turn into gas or something. Is that the whole premise of every episode throughout the three seasons?

No, eventually there would be more of a solid plot line, especially in the third season.
