I just finished watching the series, and I'm confused about Joshua and Cain.
I seem to recall Joshua showing up early in the series, then Cain being in the middle, and then Joshua returning toward the end. Where did Cain come from, and did he die? In which episodes is this shown?

Foster kills Cane in the episode Gulag.
Cane was a duplicate husk of Joshua with another Gua's conscience.

Thank you very much for the information. I re-watched Gulag and noticed that Cain was killed but then returned during a subsequent time loop. So I guess he was imprisoned there indefinitely, just as Joshua had been.
