SCI FI: First Wave Forums Deleted!

I just noticed this when I went to www.scifi.com/firstwave and tried to go to their forums, it says accessed denied. Is anyone else getting this?

I created a FW site years ago and put up new forums for in in the past year so for anyone who is trying to go to Sci Fi's FW forums, check out my site's forums as an alternative...

WTF??? First Wave was classic SciFi and should be out on DVD by now...

reply

Well Sci Fi hasn't exactly been known to make the brightest decisions.

The Greatest Fate of All... Is Fearing in Fate Itself.

I figure all right....I figure they have no interest but in their own interests...scifi channel has completely gone to the dogs. HAVE they ever even shown the real classics of sci fi? I dare say not or not enough!

Sci-Fi Channel end everything that make sence or worth watching like "First Wave",Science 3000" and so on... I hate them!!

The damn SCI FI Channel...continually shows the same series and movies OVER AND OVER...it's like a pretentious TVLAND! I'd rather watch the Weather Channel!

I was a really big fan when Sci-Fi first started. Seems the originality has stopped a looong time ago. I gave up on it for the most part.
Still can't believe they kept that garbage like stargate, son of stargate, and so many other horrible shows.
HBO pulls the same crap. I enjoyed John from Cincinnati, as did over a million others, but they dumped that and kept the GOD AWFUL flight of the conchords.
Makes you wonder...
PS if you have Direct TV, they offer Chiller TV ..

Hello Hawk!

Thanks for your impassioned agreement with me!

It saddens me because I dream all the time how INTERESTING they could make this channel. Everyone once in a while they'll show something ahir less than laughable. But for that kind of suffering, I'll just buy the dvd packs of old shows and NOT watch their commercials!

I think the final nail on the coffin was they stopped the 1:00 AM Twilight Zones. For Christmas I bought myself something called Science Fiction Anthology that proved quite interesting. They were all very different, and original. Of course that series didn't last 6 episodes on NBC last year. It was called TOO CEREBRAL!!!!!!!

What the hell does that mean? (oh yeah, not dogfights in the cosmos or weird aliens that burst out of the stomach..yeah that's it! I see now...)

Cheers and keep the faith!

A lot has changed in the last 6 years. I remember that several years ago I hoped the SF channel would get their act together. Thank God that we now have so many more ways to access sci fi tv series and movies.

It's been a couple years since I washed my hands of cable tv. Now I have a Roku and a computer dedicated to living room tv watching. I am now watching the first season of First Wave (again) without commercials and without gnashing my teeth about that crappy SF channel. I know, they could make SF an incredible channel but it's of no concern to me anymore. As an aside, the Canadian SF channel has by far much better quality shows.

As an SF afficianado, I have to say that First Wave is truly one of the great SF tv series --- at least we get to access these episodes online.

Well wrestling is fiction. Science: Maybe physics is used to keep the knuckleheads from hurting each other. Perhaps this how SciFi or SyFy (asinine) justifies it being on their channel. Speaking of asinine........................

Martin:

That's quite a stretch you are having us consider...almost like having Wrestling on the Home Shopping Network.
