DUDley Do-Wrong

This train wreck of a movie is almost as bad as "Wild Wild West" with Will Smith, which came out the same year. This script was AWFUL, START TO FINISH. They just figured they'll use recognizable names and we'd all flock to see the film.
WHAT did this have to do with the original story/cartoon anyway???
This is yet another example of Hollywood's embarrassing failure to produce anything worth watching!

Wild Wild West is Citizen Kane compared to this awful mess. Easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Hollywood producers are embarrassing themselves by shelling out this garbage, how far will they go before they realize how AWFUL this garbage is??

I just re-watched it the other night, and you can't possibly think it was THAT BAD. Look at all the crap that's come out since; 'Are we there/Done Yet?' was a movie where i profoundly hoped those bratty kids would meet an untimely and gruesome death. We actually have a movie playing called 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua'. Not to mention the laundry list of Disaster/Epic/Superhero etc movies (YAY! POP CULTURE REFERENCES! FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY!)

Granted nothing happens in this movie, and most of it is patently ridiculous. But so many of the crappy films passed off as children's entertainment these days are worse than this. They don't have Brenden Fraser being a loveable oaf who's afraid of vampires, and they certainly don't have the scene-stealing performance of Alfred Molina. I mean, Snidely Whiplash was probably the best performance in any less-than-stellar movie that came out that year.

Should this have cost as much as it did? No. But look at it this way: If an indie film studio had made this thing for 50-100K, you'd at least acknowledge it was well-intended. Unlike most of the hackery that comes out of the comedy/kids division these days.
