A queastion about episode 7 - Spoilers!

What does the magician ask Death?
It's when Death comes to the motorcicle that the monkey just finished putting together,
and the old masician ask: "You know ..., doesn't that matter?" and Death says: "No."
I tryed using subtitles to know what he said, but only found Polish and Chezh subtitles, and their translation to English doesn't makes sense.
Please someone who knows tell me...
