I wanted to feel sorry for her, really. She paid 15,000 for a fake Fabergé worth only 3000. But, how do you just drop 15,000 like that! I mean, there were only 50 ever made! A quick Google search tells you that. A book at the library tells you that. She let herself get robbed. Its a shame, but still.

a quick search says 65 total were made and 57 are known to survive . she may have thought she found one of the few lost ones....

I wonder if some of them were destroyed during the Revolution.
