When the guys on the horses come to the house and push Sara into the house does he start eating her, because when he gets off of her she has blood on her neck

Inman had killed him by then and was hiding in the house waiting for the other soldier to come in the house so he could kill him too.

If you can't be good, at least be good at it!

It wasn't her blood. Inman must have killed him with the axe and told her to lay still while the other solider entered the house. The blood on her neck was from the solider on top of her.

he wasn't trying to eat her, well depends on the definition i guess.
