People's gonna have to empty own knife drawers

What does that mean?

She said "People are gonna haft empty their own night jars", meaning the containers for their urine and (sometimes) feces.

They used to also be referred to as "chamber pots."

Oh I thought she said "night drawers" which I thought meant do her own lingerie washing. lol. Never heard of night jars, yuck.
