Sex and the City follow-up TV series in the works

“Sex and the City is returning to TV — just not in the way anybody expected.

Many fans might not even know the TV classic took inspiration from Bushnell's essay collection of the same name, with the Carrie Bradshaw character being a fictionalised version of the author.

Bushnell has now signed on to turn her upcoming follow-up book Is There Still Sex in the City? into a series for Paramount Television, according to TheWrap.

Much like her original book shined a brutally honest light on dating in your 30s, Is There Still Sex in the City? looks at love in your 50s from the perspective of children, marriage, divorce and bereavement.

While the show will still be set between Upper East Side of Manhattan and the Village, there's no indication it will actually bring back the original characters or cast.”

- I think I would personally rather see a reboot with a new 30something women, the new Carrie would be social media influencer and relationships blogger, and would write about Tinder hook ups and stuff. :)
