On TV or film, I love them. In life I'd kill 'em in a day.

This show (or movie, depending on which you're watching), is pure entertainment. And I enjoy every minute of it. But these are four of the most detestable women ever in existence, and I for one am thankful they are fictitious characters.

CARRIE BRADSHAW: Carrie is a mousy, mopey self entitled brat, constantly looking for "love" but let's define the "love" Carrie is looking for: During the show's run, Carrie dated countless guys, some once or twice, some for a run of a season or so, but who made the cut? And who stood the better of chances? It seems to me that it was the guys who could offer her the glitz and glamour and the "sparkle" of a lifestyle she felt she deserved, but could never achieve for herself. A man candy with money is all she would settle for. Consider Big. Does anyone REALLY think that Carrie would EVER have given him a second look, had he not had the image and the means to keep her up in appearances? One thing's for sure though: Carrie was never to blame for the fall of ANY of her failed relationships. The guys were ALWAYS at fault. And every romantic fail warranted a mourning period equal to that of familial death.

SAMANTHA JONES: Only as a fictitious character would someone her age get away with parading herself around the way she did. No one upwards of forty something can slink around like that, batting her eyes like a seventeen year old and be taken seriously, let alone get the amount of action she was hoping to find. And LET ALONE find someone who would be self-loathing enough to love her. If I were straight, I would be scared to death of whatever is slithering around in her crusty trenches.

CHARLOTTE YORK: It isn't enough that only a Disney prince will be good enough for our Charlotte, the fact is he will still have far too many flaws to make the cut. Really? Dumping a guy because he doesn't pick your favorite china pattern? And the only reason she has FRIENDS at all, is so that she can be worshiped for being so much better than they are at managing their lives. I mean how would the other three possibly get through life, if they didn't have her scorn to keep them in place? If I knew her in life, I would have thrown her under the nearest bus at the first sign of a sanctimonious tone, the first scornful glare, even the first teenage squeal when something excites her.

MIRANDA HOBBES: I love Cynthia Nixon. I am entertained by Miranda Hobbes, but just the same as it goes for the rest, she wouldn't survive me in real life. We get it. No man can exist without you to rescue them. No man can do it (whatever “it” is) good enough. We will all step aside so you can do whatever it is better than we can. But be assured, we're still waiting right here to hoist you up on our shoulders, so we can shout to the world how wonderful are lives are with you in them. And then we will be happy to scurry off to the corner when it's clear we begin to annoy you. Just let us know when it's okay to come back. Because we are not worthy. You are the only single mom with a career, and you are the only one who still has time to guide us properly. Thank you for being you.

I enjoyed them so much more when they got old and moved to Miami.

These are four middle-aged, immature, narcissistic people who have no appealing characteristics. It's creepy to see someone who looks like a forty-year-old, but behaves like a fourteen-year-old. They are superannuated spoiled children.
