There was a program on Showtime

a few years before Sex and the City that was similar but was not a hit at all. It was a young single blond girl in her 20's that lived in a city (not sure if it was also NYC) that lived in an apartment building. Does anyone have any idea what this series was? I believe it lasted a couple of seasons.
