this show was made in the 70's why does it make references to today like halle berry in die another day.

How many tv series of lupin the third are there?

I also noticed that, like when Lupin makes a reference to something being as big as Shaq, and in the Mystery of Mamo movie, when the president is obviously modelled after Bush Jr ("we gotta git thim thar terists"). Then I realized that they just started dubbing them into English a few years ago, and continue to release more episodes in English on DVD. It really had me wondering for awhile though how a show in the 70's would be referencing Shaq Oneal.

I'll probably start watching this series in the next couple of days.

I've only seen a couple of the movies, but I really enjoyed them.
