This is one of the few shows where the dub is by far better.

Most people agree on this. And it has everything to do with the american voice actor for kintaro being completely brilliant for the part.

Unlike what some people believe there are crappy subs out there, and there are some animes (though rare) for which the dubs are in fact better than the dub.

Unfortunately 95% of anime-fans are trained monkey-goons that just repeat whatever all the self-proclaimed 'otaku' say and claim subs are allways better than the dubs without even watching them.

Most people don't even realize what 'otaku' means.
In Japan, Otaku are people that are so obsessed that it's sickening. They devote there entire life, money and time to anime. These people LITERALLY have no life outside of anime and want to know every little detail about the anime-series they like and own every stupid little piece of merchandise there is on the market out there.

Well... This reply became a lot longer than it was supposed to be >_>

(RE that last line) and this is why I loved your post.

Ne way, I totally agree with what you have just said. There are many good animes that are great to see the dubbed englished versions of them, this being one of them. Its hard to get a lot of the humors ones when they are subbed because the Japanese humor is so different than american humor, and tone of voice is important. For instance, I was reading one of my sisters mangas, Azumanga Daio, and it has little subscripts. Anyway, one subscript explained how a riddle in japan is how do you change like fish to water or something liek that. Two things completly unrelated. The answer was, add a dot, because the kanji for both of them are different only by one small stroke.

And you can't get caught up with people who have played other parts. In the english voice acting anime world there are literraly like 15 to 20 people who are big voice actors. They play all the different roles, because thats what they do. Get over the fact that they played some other character and see them as the character they are.

Now to get back onto the right topic. Im Alex Kraft, 17 year old male from New Jersey...I like long walks on the beach and reciting poetry to people that are standing on balconies yadda, yadda.

BTW, My kickstand is up, because Mr. Oe really knows his boobs.
