Anyone else see a lot of connections/influences in theme, cinematography, mood, a slow unraveling of perfection and beauty by an unknown presence?

Yes!I had that very thought for the first time the other day during my umpteenth viewing of VS- the music had very similar chords to the scenes of the girls climbing Hanging Rock,something that I had never noticed before.Also the images of the girls in both films dressed in white looking like angels/ghosts.Both are haunting-dreamlike.

Exactly. I was coming to the board to say that. Reminds me so much of that movie. Haunting, for sure.

Yes, you're right. I love both of these movies. They are very much like each other and very different from other movies.

Yes, just saw that film and this film came immediately to mind.
