I asked this on another board, but no one seems to give a shlt. My son played this game and I wanted to know what that dude with the beard and glasses sees when you are looking at him in the book. They don't explain that and it tripped me out.
I think he means Atrus. I wondered what he saw too. I thought maybe he saw me (from my head to my shoulders), and the background behind me. Sort of like a television image.

Thats him, Artrus. But how does he see you? Like, is he sitting on the can, and all of a sudden this big image of you appears in front of him? Where does he see you?
Well, if you believe Myst IV, he DOESN'T see you. Basically, the events on Myst didn't happen exactly the way we thought. You didn't explore the different islands and return pages, or even talk to Sirrus, Achenar or Atrus. According to the "real" story, all you did was read a bunch of journals, and come to the conclusion that Sirrus and Achenar were bad, that Atrus was innocent, and that he was trapped in the green book. That means that when you see Sirrus and Achenar in Myst IV, they have no clue who you are, so they don't kill you for not releasing them. I think that's silly, though. I just say that they don't care who you are, and that what Atrus saw was sort of a giant hologram of yourself, just like I said before.

...I wanted to know what that dude with the beard and glasses...
Can someone get Rand here! I am sure he'll be thrilled about that description (-> Rand being Rand Miller, Maker an CEO of Cyan, and well the "Atrus" acotr, allthough he feels uncomfortable while acting).
