Japan uncut version

I saw this movie on the UK dvd release. I recently got the recent Japanese dvd release, and saw that the UK version is censored for violence and gore. The Japanese dvd has loads of extras too, so check it out if you like the movie! It's only in Japanese lang. though

I live in Japan, so I got it here. Maybe some import company will sell it abroad though? I'm sure it must be available online, it is a recent release

Sure. There are several interviews with Kaji Mieko (she's an old lady now) and the director. There are various TV spots and trailers for the film and it's sequel. There is an art section that displays 'manga' style artwork, and storyboard art. In the package are nice art postcards, and you get a very cool pamphlet with pictures and info. The film is remastered widescreen, too.

I'm afraid everything is Japanese language, there's no subtitles on the movie or extras. I've not seen the American version, I don't know if that's cut or not... The UK version is definately censored though. If the one you have is censored, it would be worth getting the Japanese version even if you don't speak Japanese. It's a very stylishly produced DVD, and so is the sequel.

The UK version isnt censored at all, the runningtime is 97 minutes, exactly the same as the Japanese and American versions.
