Is Lady Snowblood the only female in the movie?
Like in Kill Bill there is a lot of females. Is it the same in this movie or is Lady Snowblood the only one...?
There are other females in the movie. I won't give you any spoilers, but four women other than Lady Snowblood are pretty important to the plot, and there are other, less centrally important women in the film as well.

shareAll right, I'll spoil you a little bit. One of the four women I mentioned is Lady Snowblood's mother, who dies not long after giving birth to her in prison. One is one of the other prisoners, who takes Lady Snowblood to be raised by a priest. One is the sole female member of a gang of four responsible for the death of Lady Snowblood's (possible) father. And one is the daughter of one of the other members of the same gang.
The other women are mainly the other prisoners in the prison in which Lady Snowblood's mother gives birth to her.

Minor quibble. I don't believe she was the daughter of the schoolteacher. The leader of the bad guys took her to Tokyo and opened a restaurant with her, raped her daily until she killed him. Up till that point, I assume she still wasn't pregnant. So she went around seducing random guys until she got pregnant.
At the end of the day, it's not important who her father is. It's important who her mother is - and she looks like her mother. share
