I am trying to figure out at the moment where the dower house is would you happen to know where that is? I am a student down in cornwall and I am sure i have seen the dower house on my random trips to random cornish places but Cant remember where lol.

I haven't ever seen the series but yesterday I visited Prideaux Place in Padstow, Cornwall and the guide said that the TV series Coming Home was filmed there - it's a beautiful Elizabethan house and well worth a visit. Hope this is useful.

I saw a website giving locations used for filming in Cornwall. They listed several beaches etc plus the Prideaux House. It said the Prideaux family has lived there 400 years and that "Twelth Night" with Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kinsley was also filmed there.

I know that the House used for the Dower House is Prideux place near Padstow, always worth a visit, when i went we meet the owners who shared lots of interesting information about Rosumund Pilcher

It's NOT in Hertfordshire, it's in the Northern part of Cornwall not far from Padstow (in the Northern suburbs of Padstow).
I have a German book laying in front of me about all the Pilcher TV movies locations and on page 119 there is a photo from the living room in Prideaux Place, the same room in which Lavinia, Edmund and Judith get together.
The book was written by Claus Beling and Heidi Ulmke who worked for the German-Britsh movie co-productions based on Pilcher's novels and short stories.
You can find it in amazon.de. The title is "Bezauberndes Cornwall - Eine Reise zu den Schauplaetzen der Rosamunde Pilcher-Filme". It has lots of color pics.
Don't miss the harbor area in downtown Padstow, I thought it was so much lovelier than Mevagissey.

The house used as Nancherrow in both 'Coming Home' and 'Nancherrow' is Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire. I'm not quite sure how the author's of the book arrived at that assumption.

Prideaux Place, which is used as The Dowager House in 'Coming Home', is in Padstow, North Cornwall.
