Mr. Tambourine Man

I have owned the original triple album since it was first released as well as the first CD release. Both had an extra Dylan song - Mr. Tambourine Man - before Just Like a Woman.

I have also seen the film many times but Mr. Tambourine Man has never been included.

Does anyone know why Mr. Tambourine Man is on the album but not included in the film?

It's funny because I came here to ask that exact question (Even though this is a two year post which you'll probably never read ever again).

You'd think that they would at least include it in the 2005 bonus disc under the unseen performances.

I think they should have had Mr. Tambourine Man over It Takes A Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry in the actual film.

They had to reload the film periodically. Mr. Tambourine Man wasn't filmed because they were reloading the cameras when it was being played.
