Prue risking her sisters' lives?

In season 3, did it seem like Prue took a lot of risks with her sisters' lives? She killed a possessed Piper in order to de-possess her, she offered up her soul and her sisters souls without a second thought to a demon in order to save her ex-boyfriend from becoming a full demon. Later in the time loop with the Western town, Bo and Phoebe were psychically connected and Bo was being tortured and about to be killed and so was Phoebe, but Prue stood back and let the townspeople save Bo.

There was also Prue's lack of concern with locking the doors or installing a security system in the Manor.

Sure these incidents worked out fine with happy endings, but they could've easily gone horribly wrong. Prue even let Phoebe go alone to save Cole in the Underworld of all places.

Prue is always risking her life, but why this risky attitude towards her sisters lives as well all of a sudden?

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I'm possible.

Wasn't that the point? The townspeople had to stand up to Sutter and drive him out of town to end the curse.

There was also Prue's lack of concern with locking the doors or installing a security system in the Manor.

I suppose when you live in a house under constant demonic attack that locking doors seems a bit pointless. Although she learnt that lesson by the end of the episode when she had her stalker.

Prue even let Phoebe go alone to save Cole in the Underworld of all places.

I'd say that was Phoebe's risk more than Prue's. But Prue not putting up more resistance to that plan was a little out of character. They just needed Phoebe in the Underworld for the plot of the episode to work and all three of their lives be left in jeopardy at the end.

While Prue always had an ego, it wasn't huge until Season Three and it was a lot of what let her take risks she never would've taken in the earlier seasons - always believing she could rescue them.

It was why I didn't like her as much in Season Three as I did in late Season One and all of Season Two, and am glad she was the one who died. Seeing what Brad Kern did to Piper and Phoebe during the latter seasons (and was starting to do in Season Three), I would've hated to see what he would've done to Prue in the latter seasons. She would've become Super Witch/Bitch even more than Piper did.

In Season 1 Prue was the only one that locked the front door "Thank You For Not Morphing" but quickly decided as time went on that it wasn't worth it since they were charmed and criminals they could handle plus locks wouldn't stop Demons and warlocks anyways so why bother.

But overall Yes, Prue became increasingly reckless as Season 3 progressed. More because of her still blaming herself for Patty. It got so bad that at one point she started seeing the Angel of Death and he had to use that as a teaching moment for her. Which obviously didn't work as she still threw Herself into the offensive all the time by going after and picking off demons before they came to them. She would use any means possible to kill a demon which often had her make bad judgment decisions sometimes. Part of what got her killed. And part of what Piper was so upset about in Hell has no Fury where she nearly killed herself doing exactly what Prue did. That is not dealing with grief and deciding to punch demons instead as Cole put it .
