Rachel Lynde

I didn't get to see much of the "Road to Avonlea" series because during most of its run, the Disney Channel was still a premium channel, and my family wasn't about to pay the extra money to get that channel just to see "Avonlea," as it was named in the USA. However, from what I've read about the show, Rachel was in really bad shape by the end of the series. However, in "Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story," Anne and Rachel meet on the street, and Rachel is walking around like she hasn't aged a bit! I also noticed that she had mellowed out drastically in this movie! Sure, she had warmed up to Anne and had grown to appreciate her, but this was way too mellow for Rachel, although it was nice to see her not acting like a female body part!
