Flip the DVD over to watch the movie?

I've never seen a movie with half on one side, then making you have to flip the DVD over to finish the movie. Usually the movie is one side, and the extra features on side 2, or full-screen on one side, and widescreen on the other. I'm glad this isn't a common practice.

Hi, The Region 2 DVD is on one side duel layer, there is a slight pause when it switches layers. No extras and it's 4:3 transfer...

Most Tv miniseries are on double sided DVDs. It, The Langoliers and The Stand all did this. I also have early editions of Pelican Brief and Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves that also did this.
