There are sellers on sell.com (similar to ebay sellers -- fixed or negotiated price. The tv series they sell are recorded from tv (see Bernes Law) regarding US citizen's access rights to films and tv content not obtainable from studios for its rules and regulations. Legitimate studio releases are great and I'm a big fan of the best quality and studio releases.

But there are extenuatiing circumstances to where I will look to other sources to purchase what the studios do not choose to issue or are issuing so slowly that it is and will take years before I can complete sets I've already been purchasing from them and am at their mercy as to when I can view the released seasons.

I bought a set of Vengeance Unlimited from a seller on that site. His set was not as good the other sets I've purchased from sellers on that site. I wish I knew if the other seller's set of Vengeance Unlimited has better copies. It is good enough to watch, not as good menu control between episodes and he provided two copies of the pilot as one had been poorly recorded. Some of the cut commercials are not a clean breaks as some sets I've purchased.

The copying was not as good as the Murder She Wrote (entire 12 seasons + the 5 Murder She Wrote movies) for $60 I paid. I was tired of waiting for the studios to release the final 5 seasons (I'd paid between $32 and $38 for each of the 7 seasons I'd bought) and they probably would release the MSW movies separate from Season 12 as it was a full season of episodes -- and realizing my expense would be over $430 to $460 total counting the 7 seasons I'd already bought) $430 or more for one tv series is just outrageously expensive.

While the quality is not as good as studio quality, I'm more than happy with what I've received to date for the price I've paid. There are other detective shows I'm able to get in complete sets now, also such as Hawaii Five-O, Mannix (of which season 1 is just being released by the studios), Simon & Simon, Hart to Hart, Columbo -- all 69 episodes (studios only have released through 1989 -- 19 more episodes beyond that release). Newhart, Barney Miller, and I could go on.

This Vengeance Unlimited is just too fascinating to not get because the studios don't want to release it in dvd. They have their criteria as a corporation which has nothing to do with their show/shows fan bases. Its just business. Well, I have my criteria for what I want to enjoy too. The here and now is all we have day by day. So, I'm very happy to evaluate and choose what I want to watch and buy from whom I choose.

The Simpsons haven't released a season since last spring other than the Simpsons Movie. I own studio releases of seasons 1-10. I have an order being shipped to me of Seasons 11-18 for only $42 including shipping!

I don't recommend some of the website distributors because some of them have had poor customer relations -- so pick and choose carefully. Test out only one set of any tv series before you spend much money.

I had tried tvaddicts.tv also known as tvdvdworld.tv and dvdavenue.tv (all the same company out of Canada) and of the 3 sets bought -- their Murder She Wrote was good (according to my girlfriend -- it didn't have the 5 Murder She Wrote Movies my set has), my set of It Takes a Thief is a so-so recording, it could have been better. And they refunded my Hart to Hart set because about 7 discs were not playable on Region 1 (assume they were region 2 and two episodes which stopped for no reason of the dvd player, wouldn't play through. I was relieved they refunded me my money as I'd read from some amazon forum people that they weren't as fortunate as I was.

On bestdvdentertainmentonline.com I received a pretty good set of Newhart but a lesser quality set of Barney Miller.

Most sellers sell in paper sleeves, some include boxart sets of varying type. I'm enjoying my purchasing on sell.com with seller who I read up on so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm getting. I recommend if you do buy from a seller on that site that you test them with one item and see what quality you get before purchasing several at a time. The sellers usually will rate the quality of their set from 1-10 and you can ask them questions before purchasing. Most have very reasonable shipping rates. Some sellers offer bonus material or other films as a bonus to entice you to purchase from them vs. the competition.

So, if you are comfortable purchasing Vengeance Unlimited on-line, I highly recommend you enjoy the series. I never saw any episodes when it aired and bought from the information here on this site (it's not available on Amazon) and am so very happy I did. I've watched about 7 episodes and am hooked. They are clever, intriguing and highly enjoyable.

Search for it on Youtube. Some guy uploaded all the episodes from what appear to be VCR recordings. It's better than nothing.
