monstervision sat nites

i never thought to look this show up on the database here but i am so glad i did. I remember the good old days when it was on Sat nite. i used to babysit my siblings on the weekends and i always looked forward to watching monstervision. it was part of my growing up. the thing i remember most about it was definately the night they showed the original Alien and joe bob had all these fun facts about the film. it was great. i wish i could find old episodes or even better, they would bring it back!

I still miss Monstervision.

I remember staying up to 3 in the morning one Saturday night watching Excalibur. I also remember watching Billy Jack. Joe Bob had Tom Laughlin on the phone and did interviews during the commerical breaks.

Penn Gillette from Penn and Teller was a host of the show for a while too.
He also was the announcer for Comedy Central in the early years and the years of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Also after Monstervision there was 100% Weird. That was on right after Monstervision, so you could be up til 3am.

I few times on Monstervision they had the Oringal Outer Limits in an all night marathon, especially remember that during the summer. They had interview with the crew and original castmembers talking about the show. Too bad none of that stuff ended up on the dvds.
