Damn this movie is disturbing!!! *Spoilers*

I can't believe some of this crap. Arghh... The father and Emma falling for each other and just now the son and Emma slept with each other. Argh... why!? WHYYYY!? it was so hard for me to watch that part man. How could they do that!? Damn.. Man I'm all messed up after seeing that. It's hard for me to see that kind of backstabbing. Man this movie is crazy!

On a side note. Why the hell didn't the doctor get pissed at Emma? I mean, she screwed him over just as much as Wendall. It's not like she was powerless or raped. I thought that was kind of stupid. Wouldn't he kick them both out?

What the ****! She had a kid!? OH hell no! Was it Wendall's? Why didn't he use protection!? Oh man... what kind of... oh I'm falling apart over here. WHY?!? Was that her plan the whole time to just get pregnant. That's messed up.

I think the idea is that we don't know whose the baby is.

This is my third posting on this board about me not liking Emma at all, I should give it a rest, but I can't. She seemed so innocent at first, then completely destroyed an entire family then moved on. She has not shame, no guilt, nothing, only selfishness for what she wants. It was already a fragile family and look what she does then leaves. Loved the movie, hated Emma. And who is the father, no idea, no way to know either.

Calinks,

I'm with you! This movie disturbs me in ways I can't understand! I thought she truly loved Richard...

I'm not surprised he didn't get pissed at her, though. It's normal for people in this type of situation to blame the other man/woman and not their partner. I think Richard loved Emma so much that he just couldn't accept that she took an active part in the affair. It was easier to hate Wendell than to break up with the woman he loved.

As for the child, I thought it had to be Wendell's because Richard was out of town for several days, so he would've missed impregnating Emma during her fertile period. I took the picture at the end to mean that the baby brought both men together, with Wendell as the father and Richard as a happy grandfather.

I was disturbed by Wendell's behaviour/personality. I liked Richard, he was just lonely.
