Soundtrack

Anybody knows where the soundtrack can be found (bought)? Thanks in advance.

Don't think there is a soundtrack as such. The music is, I believe from several sources. I have tried for years to find out whether there is an actual sountrack without any success. I now have contact with 'Sweetwater' who released the film and am waiting for a definitive reply. If there is a sountrack I will post details here. The only other alternative is to research the music and obtain the tracks from the individual artists cds! Could be time consuming and expensive but then you could compile your own personal cd. (of course strictly for your own personal listening!!!). David

There is no specific soundtrack from the film - but you can find the music on different Paddy Moloney-CD:s like "Film Cuts", "Carnival" and "Long Journey Home". The song at the Saturday Dance episode is written and performed by the Swedish band Weeping Willows and is called "It's so hard to always lose".
I hope this can be of some help to those like myself who love the film and not least, the music. David
After further research I have found the Irish music tracks on three different CHIEFTAINS CDs. You will have to buy all three to get the music from the film. The WEEPING WILLOWS track is proving more difficult. I can only find 3 CDs from this Swedish group and the track from UNDER THE SUN is not included on any of the three. The CHIEFTANS tracks can be found on-

These CDs can be found much less expensive on a UK auction site that begins with 'E'. Not so cryptic but, good hunting. (I already have them!!). David.

It's almost a blasphemy not to release such charming and greatly compiled music as a separate soundtrack.

Can you tell me what's title (and perhaps an author) of the music at the beginning of the movie? The piece with classic orchestra and a flute solo (no lyrics)?
