Yes....Everytime I watch the movie I always wonder about Badger...Then my sister said he probably went straight to hell.

I think it would have made an unneeded side-plot, and destroyed the air of mystery that the rest of the gang (other than Sonny) had about the town. Also, it's entirely possible he could have been hiding.
