Great Movie

Outstanding movie with some mystery and a great moral message.

As others have said here, it's almost hard to believe that this is a made-for-television movie. The writing is magnificent, the acting is great, and even though the viewer knows what is going on in the background, it's interesting to see how the characters unravel the truth and what's going to play out in the end.

I would highly recommend this film.

I normally don't watch Westerns, but this was amazing. I couldn't turn it off and had to own it.

Better than I thought it would be. Very good movie. And I don't usually watch Westerns.

Agree that the script was great, the actors did a fine job, and it was fun watching "Sonny" figure it out the town's secret.

Definitely a must see.😃

There was a lot in this movie, but the themes of selflessnesses and taking responsibility for others are what was paramount. It begins with a dying Dolly telling Sonny not to let her die. Then you see Sonny become willing to take on the outlaws alone to protect Rose, that is what convinces Wild Bill and the others to protect the town. Wild Bill noted he was always selfish ( in life and as Sheriff). Putting the town first is what allows them to finally go to heaven. When Sonny chose to remain behind for Rose and especially Dolly who he did not love in the romantic way he did Rose, he showed how unselfish he was: The smile on the faces of Dolly and the Coachman showed that they knew that Sonny's stay in Refuge will be very short ( unlike Wild Bill and the others), and he will have Rose and Dolly with him.
