LOL! That's generally (give or take) what things look like when a woman does not wax/shave. However, the actress Susan Lynch has naturally thick and curly hair, so her bikini area follows suit. There is supposed to be hair there, especially when the film is set in the early 1900's - note her lush armpits.

It has become a trend since the 1990's that female actors have started doing a full wax (Brazilian wax) or leaving a small strip of hair (French wax). Then some of the public followed suit. It flourished in pornography to make women look more physically like little girls. Kind of creepy-ish. Nevertheless, I think most partners find a modestly trimmed triangle (American wax) to look most appealing, next to a well-groomed natural bush..."come hither".

Alas, some men are waxing/shaving too, to look endowed in length and somewhat pre-pubescent. The roots (no pun) of this unnecessary trend also gained popularity within the porn industry. Again, just a trimmed/groomed natural area is likely the most desired by partners. Hair around a man's genitals is definitely very masculine..."hubba-bubba".

Unless someone is on chemotherapy or has a disorder, the only people without pubic hair are children. With the removal of pubic hair for aesthetics, it also "removes a cushion against friction, leaves microscopic open wounds and exposes you to infections" (reference below link, if so inclined). Science has also shown that this special hair is not only for protection, but it holds sexy pheromone scents that can drive us wild, so some hair should stay...IMO. ;P
