Seriously Underrated

Anyone who claims this movie to be bad is one of two things: a total idiot, and totally correct. This movie was horendous, but it was brilliant at the same time. The cameo of Darth Maul discussing his singing career in Vegas is so absurd, that only a comic genius could think it up. Neilsen is hilarious, and to be honest, this movie is so absurd that I think it takes an actor with tremendous talent to be able to pull such a ridiculous character off. I saw this movie after I found out The Score was sold out. I went in with my doubts, but came out laughing histerically, and my friend (who's studying at Chapman to be a director) and I still talk about certain insane scenes today. If you didn't like this movie, or thought it wasn't funny, then you totally missed the point.

I like how you decide how Americans are based on one person's comment. Mr. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle!

I found it very hit and miss but I've definately seen far worse stuff and this was still watchable. I think my main problem was with some of the jokes not coming across very well as they should have which is a bit unfortunate as I thought it should have been a good enough spoof film to pull it off especially when you consider Leslie Nielsen was in it.

I found it tried to be too Naked Gun at times like with Nielsen's voiceover during parts and that he was playing a part of the detective type. Actually right at the beginning there was almost an exact joke from when he did "Spy Hard" where he talks about the abbreviations like seeing the CIA and down with OPP in NYC etc. It did have its moments though, particularly right at the end of the credits with the fart outtakes, that was really unexpected.

Where the *beep* can I buy this?

reply

Yeah. Totally. It's like lame d*ckfaces who think that movies like Superbad was "hilarious". Jesus MF Christ.
