I can't believe it!

I remember I bought this movie only because it had Leslie Nielsen in it and I like A Space Odyssey (plus it was cheap)...I never finished watching it! I can't believe it made the bottom 100...well, actually, I can...I don't even remember what it was about...or where I put the DVD!!! LOL...

just hope that you won't ever find it again

Whatever, you people can't appreciate or detect refined humour or something. In practically every single minute, he does a word jumble which is hilarious when you think about it.

The thing is, I don't think you think about it, you just hop on to the next joke without realising that he just made a joke, just like most people in the world who take no effort in detecting small jokes, but rather want to be TV-zombies that want to see somebody drink piss instead of beer (REAL funny...:S). People these days seem to only appreciate that kind of humour, while it is the lowest and most easy form of entertainment.

Could be wrong though, but I doubt it

I do like the daft comedy in the Naked Gun films and thought it would similar.
Unfortunately it is not, it doesn't work, I don't know if it is the script or the directing. It's just not funny, it's cringeworthy. I couldn't watch it to the end.

It's different, that's for sure. But I think it's too much too say that this one sucked. It's not like you haven't laughed once in the movie, have you? honestly?

reply

Honestly? I haven't. And I adore comedies. From black&white Frank Capra movies, Czech 70's movies, Lemmon&Matthau movies, to Mel Brooks parodies and, why not, destructive humor of Zucker&Abrahams.

But no, I can't find much humor in American Pies or Police Academy, let alone Scary Movies. But I could sometimes find some particular scene acceptable and maybe a bit funny. There is not a single scene in Space Travesty that would fit in any of these categories.

And when you imply that these jokes are subtle (!), and not based mostly on body functions, I must ask if we have been watching the same movie at all.
