Have you noticed that the First Line that Dix says was referencing Osama bin Laden, even though the movie was made in 2000 (before 9/11)?!

I've just watched it for the first time, so I find it kinda weird!

"It was one of those days you never forget. I'd arrested Osmond Bin Laden at a Lakers-Knicks game.
Now I was back in D. C. on the QT making my way asap to the HQ when I heard the APB:
-All available units to big joes, hostage situation, armed terrorists."

And Of course the "Arab Terrorists" order a "plane" afterwards!!

"I'm ordering one car and one plane.
-One plain what?
-One plain plane. With pilot."

The movie is called "2001"...

Osama bin Laden was linked to the first attack on WTC in 1993, the 1998 US Embassy bombing in Kenya, and the 2000 attack on the USS Cole. His name was fairly common in association with 90s terror attacks, which is why the blame fell on him fairly quickly on 9/11.
