Did anybody watch this?
Swedish kids watched a lot of stuff from Eastern Europe during the Seventies....this was a favorite of mine, the man who could make himself shrink into doll-size by touching the brim of his hat.

shareI certainly did! I saw the tv series when I was a child on german television, and I have always loved it.
The mysterious 'magician' who didn't talk, could fly with his unbrella, and with turning his black bowler hat he could make himself small and normal sized again.
Here's a picture of Otto Simanek as Pau Tau:

"When there is no more room in the Oven,
the Bread will walk the Earth."
In Quebec, Canada, it played on french television as "Monsieur Rosée".

I loved the simple mystery and elegance conveyed by the main character. I so wished I had those magical talents. :)
