great potential but poorly edited

I still enjoyed the movie, but the editing and production was very amateur. For example, the montage of war scenes at the end were moving, but in the middle, they put Omar licking the Abba singer on a poster? Totally out of place and takes away from the seriousness of the conflict.

Also, they just randomly made the girl into Omar and just kind of wrote her off in the end. Too sloppy, but still a great movie about randomness of adolescence.
