Italian or Irish?

The Mother, Father, and Daughter keep screaming Italian to me, but then you've got the Irish Pub they frequent, and of course, then there's the Irish Grandmother. Oh, and then of course there's the Irish music in the background of some of the scenes. Really wish the producers/writers had picked a theme. And this was supposedly based off of a book? I hope the book is better!

Not a great movie by any means (and I'm only twenty-five minutes into this thing).
